As tuition has steadily increased at many colleges and universities around the country, California Baptist University has chosen to hold the line as much as possible. As a result, our costs remain lower than a significant number of private schools. At CBU, we believe a college education should be affordable, and by keeping tuition costs as low as possible while enabling Degree Completion students to secure generous financial aid, we’ve remained within reach of many public institutions of higher education. Payment Options (Degree Completion only)
1. Payment in Full: CBU accepts cash, checks and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard and Discover).
2. Payment Plan: This enables students to pay all or part of semester charges in installments, without interest. Monthly payments are calculated on an amount that is equal to the total expenses minus grants, scholarships, or direct payments made to the university. Students may pay through automatic bank draft or credit card. The plan requires a $25/semester enrollment fee. Please call Student Accounts at (800) 782-3382, ext. 4371, for more information.
3. Financial Aid: Financial aid is administered in accordance with federal, state and institutional policies. Students who have submitted a current FAFSA (http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/)—the federal government’s instrument for calculating family contribution—to the Department of Education may be eligible for financial aid. The amount and type of financial aid awarded is based upon the results of the FAFSA. For more details, call the Financial Aid Office at (877) 228-8855.
Other
Company Reimbursement: Students eligible for this option must submit a letter from their company to the Student Accounts Office each semester, stating exactly what is covered (example: tuition, books, fees, etc.) and the billing procedure. Students may need to complete one of the payment options above if their company will not pay in advance.
Veteran's Benefits: Students eligible for veteran's benefits must contact California Baptist University's VA certifying official at (951) 343-4461. Students should choose one of the payment options listed above and contact the VA certifying official prior to registration.
Course and Fee Statement: Students may access their semester billing statement online at http://insidecbu.calbaptist.edu/. Click on the student Accounts tab. Click on the Course & Fee Statement page to the left. Access the statement by clicking on the link under the CX-Financial section. Financial Clearance Deadline: All students are required to complete payment arrangements prior to each semester and have a Tuition and Fee Agreement on file in the Student Accounts Office. Financial Clearance deadlines: Fall—August 17, Spring—Jan. 5, Summer—May 3
